  1. Here is Geezer 3 just a hummin' and a strummin' about a year ago. Old lonely loone, crooning a tune, or two. Jim Averitt, singer-songwriter, assistant to Ted Turner at the Flying D Ranch near Gallatin Gateway, MT invited me to come to his home studio on January 5, 2010 to record on his digital recording system. He recorded me for about 1 hour, and this file is some of that. Later, Jim invited another local musician, Britt Smith, to listen and play along on guitar to some of the songs. This Geezecast file is that 11 minute file with Britt's guitar added in. The studio is a in an old cowboy bunkhouse. He has it set up with old shag rugs. Pretty rustic. Outside the one door is a small porch. There is no running water, or bathroom. When I needed to take a pee, I just followed Jim's instructions and pissed off the porch. Another local songwriter, Kostas, Jim said has dubbed the porch, the "Pissin' Porch." So when I have spoken with Jim since, Ir efer to that day as the "pissin' porch" being among my fondest of memories. Yes, Geezers they have their own brand quirky of humor, don't they now?

Jim did all the mix on this. What he gave me is a CD-R of that rough mix, which was then ripped to my hard drive. Some of the recording levels seem like they were overdriving. The session was just one mic placed in front of me, seated in the middle of the bunkhouse. I sent a copy to my mom for Christmas. It has a bit of fun in it. No harm in a little fun, just every now and then, eh?
